Update

It has been more than a month since my last post, and my lord what a long decade it’s been. Since my last post, there has been a rise in civil unrest in America and other parts of the world in the fight against racism and injustice. Unfortunately, racism is as prevalent today as it has ever been. This was on top of record-high unemployment, an economic recession, and a global virus outbreak.

What’s New with Me

In short, a lot! I am leaving my job June 26th, moving to Oregon in early July, then doing some light traveling through the Pacific Northwest. Savannah and I decided that we’d like to start setting up more permanent roots and felt Southern California was not the best place to do so. Her parents live on the Oregon Coast, so we plan on living there a few months while we figure out the next steps.

Our road trip will include Eastern Oregon, Boise, Mt. Rainer, Seattle, Gig Harbor, and Vancouver Washington. I am hoping it all works out and we can enjoy these places to their fullest extent, given the current circumstances. Let me know if you have any suggestions for things to do in these cities!

What’s New with the Blog

I am currently in the process of redesigning the site so please bear with me while I fine-tune it. Also, I am no longer focusing on just Personal Finance as I had originally intended to, and instead will be on a variety of topics that interest me.

I plan on doing a 30-day blog challenge during some period over summer, probably closer to August. I believe doing this will help improve my writing and the blog overall. Look out for a lost more posts in the future.
